What does a packing worker do?

A packing worker prepares finished products for storage and delivery, usually at the end of a production line. The role keeps products correctly packed, labelled and safe to ship.

Typical responsibilities

• Packing products into cartons, trays or crates
• Checking labels, dates and batch codes
• Inspecting packaging for damage or defects
• Handling and stacking products correctly
• Keeping the work area clean and hygienic

Shifts and conditions
