Almarai Jobs for Foreigners: Eligibility, Visa & Iqama Basics
Last reviewed: 2026-10-05 · Independent guidance, not official Almarai information
Does Almarai hire foreign applicants?
We cannot confirm Almarai’s hiring policy for any role or nationality. Eligibility is stated in each official vacancy, and Saudi labour rules also apply. Saudi Arabia has national employment programmes, so some roles may be prioritised for Saudi nationals while others are open to residents or overseas applicants. Check the vacancy itself on the Almarai official website (see its Careers section).
What international applicants may need
- A valid passport with enough remaining validity
- Education or skills documents relevant to the role, which may need official attestation
- A work visa arranged through the employer’s official process
- Medical checks, usually after a written offer
- An Iqama (residence permit) after arrival, normally handled with the employer
General guidance: actual duties, requirements and conditions vary by vacancy and employer.
Who pays for the visa and recruitment?
Under Saudi labour rules the employer is generally responsible for recruitment and work-visa costs. Because rules change, confirm the current position with Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development before agreeing to pay anything. A demand for payment to be shortlisted, interviewed or "selected" is a strong scam warning.
Applying from outside Saudi Arabia
- Find the vacancy on the employer’s own careers channel.
- Check that it is open to applicants outside the country.
- If an agency is involved, confirm directly with the employer that the agency is authorised to recruit for it.
- Get the offer and contract in writing before you travel, resign or pay for anything.
Follow how to apply and verify the vacancy at every step.
Red flags aimed at overseas job seekers
- A "guaranteed" visa or job in exchange for a fee
- Offers by chat or free email with no interview
- Pressure to send passport copies or bank details immediately
- A vacancy that cannot be found on the employer’s official site
